"Poolside Gossip"

A party at the Kaufmann Desert House, designed by Richard Neutra, Palm Springs, 1970. This has arguably become Slim’s most iconic photograph.   The home’s then owner, socialite & real estate expert Nelda Linsk (in yellow) talks to close friend former fashion model Helen Dzo Dzo Kaptur. Actress and singer Lita Baron approaches on the right. Linsk recalls years later that Slim had called that morning and said “I want to come over and do a pool shot. Call some friend over. Pull something out of your closet (in reference to their clothes)”.
